Shrimp Avocado Toast

Avocado toast has become an iconic dish in recent years, gracing many a brunchtime Instagram story. But this versatile meal shouldn’t be relegated to brunch alone. Avocado toast makes a satisfying snack or meal any time of day and becomes even more delicious (and filling) with the addition of perfectly cooked shrimp.

If you’ve somehow missed the avocado toast craze, we’ll fill you in really quick: Avocado toast consists of ripe avocado slices or mashed avocado spread over toasted bread. It sounds simple, yes. But the magic happens in the toppings. The base can be customized with a variety of toppings, from poached eggs to chili flakes to fresh pickled veggies, creating a range of flavors and textures that can fix any craving.

Adding shrimp to avocado toast is a unique choice, but trust us – it’s delicious. Not only do shrimp and avocado pair beautifully together, the nutritional benefits of the healthy fats in both and the protein in the shrimp round out this meal and make it a healthy choice. Avocado offers healthy fats, vitamins, and dietary fiber, while shrimp provides a lean source of protein and essential minerals.
